Adora is a Director of Customer Success.

I had a strong desire to build a credible voice in my new role and within the organization at large. I wanted to have a bigger impact on the work I am doing and the work around me.

What steps did you take to improve?

I learned to be courageous and louder about challenging situations at work while rolling up my sleeves to work towards solutions.

I found allies in cross-functional teams and expanded my network which helped build confidence.

My coach also helped me find ways to practice how I articulate my ideas and feedback.

These practices helped me recognize where and how I could improve.

What was the outcome of your work?

I learned to articulate my wins and was showing up in a more authentic way at work. I was able to build deeper relationships with those around me.

Any tips for others working on a similar topic?

Take calculated risks as much as possible.

Work to expand your networks - do coffee chats, go to social events, and connect on LinkedIn. Finally, utilize BetterUp resources in between your sessions to make the most of your sessions!
