The Walmart at 1330 E. Grand Ave. in Escondido will undergo construction beginning this week as part of a major remodeling to bring a modern shopping experience to the North County city.
The work, part of the company’s commitment to invest in the communities it serves, will take several weeks to complete and is one of many scheduled remodels for California in 2024.Â
Following the project’s completion, Walmart associates in Escondido will host a community celebration to introduce new customer-focused upgrades aimed at improving the overall in-store experience, including:
- A newly renovated pharmacy with a brand-new private consultation room.
- An expanded online pickup and delivery department.
- A brand-new community-focused mural.
- Newly renovated restrooms.
In addition to the remodel, the Escondido Walmart will continue offering innovations like in-store pickup, contact-free delivery, and Walmart Pay for a touch-free payment experience. These services are designed to save customers time and money, enabling them to shop how, when, and where they prefer.
