A 50-year-old man riding an e-bike was in the hospital with serious injuries in downtown San Diego, the San Diego Police Department reported Wednesday.
The solo bike crash happened at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday at 10th Avenue and eastbound 900 A Street, SDPD Officer John Buttle said.
He clipped the south curb line causing him to lose control of his bike, the officer said. He was taken to a hospital with fractures of the shin and calf bones.
His injuries were not life-threatening and DUI was not a factor, Buttle said.
SDPD traffic units responded to the scene and were investigating the crash.
