Firefighters made quick work Tuesday of a Sherman Heights-area apartment fire.
The non-injury blaze erupted for unknown reasons about 3:45 p.m. in an unoccupied second-floor unit in the 2100 block of G Street, just south of state Route 94 and east of Interstate 5, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Crews had the flames under control in less than 15 minutes, the city agency reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
