Three people suffered smoke inhalation Monday in connection with an apartment fire in the Colina Del Sol neighborhood, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

The blaze was reported just after 7:30 a.m. at the complex at 4321 Winona Ave. According to an SDFD official, the blaze was limited to one room.

The three people injured were not transported to hospitals for treatment, the official added.

Investigators remained on scene Monday to determine what started the fire.

A Clairemont Mesa apartment fire left two people injured Thursday.

The blaze erupted at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 7700 block of Belden Street, just west of Linda Vista Road and Interstate 805, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Crews had the flames under control within 15 minutes of their arrival, the city agency reported.

It was not immediately clear how seriously the victims were injured. Paramedics took one of them to a hospital, according to the fire department.

Firefighters made quick work Tuesday of a Sherman Heights-area apartment fire.

The non-injury blaze erupted for unknown reasons about 3:45 p.m. in an unoccupied second-floor unit in the 2100 block of G Street, just south of state Route 94 and east of Interstate 5, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Crews had the flames under control in less than 15 minutes, the city agency reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

An early morning apartment fire in La Jolla damaged two rental units Tuesday, displacing six people and causing some $650,000 worth of losses, but no one was injured.

The fire began at about 4:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Carla Way, just east of La Jolla Hermosa Avenue and south of Van Nuys Street, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The American Red Cross was called in to help four adults and two children arrange for emergency shelter.

“Nobody’s injured, no firefighters, no civilian injuries,” San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Aaron Bothwell told Onscene.TV. He said that crews had the flames under control within about 20 minutes.

He added that one pet, a rabbit, was evacuated and reuinted with its owner.

The cause of the fire — which caused an estimated $500,000 in structural damages and destroyed roughly $150,000 worth of contents — was under investigation, according to SDFRD public affairs.

Firefighters were battling a structure fire that broke out at an apartment building in San Diego Sunday.

Units were dispatched at 12:10 p.m. Sunday and arrived a few minutes later to 4135 54th Place, near Will C. Crawford Senior High School, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 29 personnel were assigned to the fire, including two trucks, four engines and one medic, fire officials said.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

An Escondido family, including a pet chinchilla, was displaced after a house fire Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a call at around 2 p.m. about a structure fire in the 1300 block of Morning View Drive in Escondido, just west of the 15 freeway.

They arrived to find the building in flames.

Units were able to quickly knock down the fire and rescue a family pet. The Red Cross is assisting the family.

No further information, including the cause of the fire, is available at this time.

A Christmas Eve apartment fire in a South Bay neighborhood of San Diego injured one person, killed a family’s pets and left 12 people displaced, authorities reported.

San Diego Fire-Rescue crews were dispatched at about 6 a.m. Sunday to the second floor of an apartment building at 2034 Ilex Avenue in the Nestor neighborhood.

Officials said the blaze resulted in the total destruction of one apartment unit. One resident was transported to a local hospital for smoke-related injuries.

The fire was contained quickly, but two adjacent units also sustained significant damage, according to fire officials.

At least five adults and seven children were displaced.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The fire was first reported at 2:04 p.m. at 10945 Summerdale Way and was put out 11 minutes later, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

No injuries were reported in an apartment building fire Thursday in the Corridor neighborhood, officials said.

The fire, at 4073 36th St., was reported at 3:55 p.m. with crews arriving six minutes later, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It was out nearly 45 minutes later.

Authorities were told that the fire started in the building’s attic based on the initial 9-1-1 call, a department official said, though the cause was unknown. There were no damage estimate.

Firefighters from National City provided assistance.

A two-story apartment complex in Linda Vista was damaged Tuesday in a fire, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The blaze was first reported at 2:04 a.m. at 7020 Tait Street and firefighters arrived at the scene at 2:12 a.m.

A total of 64 firefighting personnel were brought in to fight the fire and some were still on the scene at 6:20 a.m. The complex was evacuated.

Ten residents were displaced and the American Red Cross arrived to help them find places to stay.

The fire was put out quickly and there were no reports of injuries.

The fire department was investigating the cause of the blaze.
