San Diego city crews were repairing a break Tuesday on a 16-inch water main that occurred Monday evening near the intersection of Morena Boulevard and Sherman Street in Linda Vista.
The intersection was closed Tuesday morning and traffic was detoured, the city said on social media.
Commuters were advised to avoid the area.
It was anticipated that repairs will be complete on the damaged pipeline later Tuesday.
