Ever dreamed of going to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah to see the cutting edge in indie films?

Now you don’t need to sweat the airfare. Sundance has come to San Diego, reports San Diego magazine, because of a unique collaboration with the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park.

Film Forward brings recent indie successes like the Oscar-nominated 20 Feet From Stardom and the heralded Fruitvale Station, to venues across San Diego, reports the magazine, to reach communities that typically aren’t exposed to film. There will be panel discussions after the films.

Screenings are set not just for Balboa Park and La Jolla, but also for Barrio Logan, Emerald Hills, San Ysidro and San Marcos.
